The Barbaresco Guaranteed and Controlled Denomination of Origin must be obtained from grapes coming exclusively from vineyards composed of Nebbiolo grapes in the territories of the villages of Neive, Barbaresco, Treiso and San Rocco Seno d’Elvio.
It can be sold from 1st January of the third year subsequent to grape harvest, with the obligation of at least 9 months of ripening in wooden casks.
Colour: brilliant ruby red tending in the course of time to orange.
Fragrance: ethereal and composite (liquorice, wild rose, violet).
Taste: dried, endearing, calm, of great elegance.
Temperature of service: about 19°.
Our Barbaresco “Marcorino” comes exclusively from vineyards located in Neive belonging to Cru Marcorino. It ripens then in Slavonian oak-wood casks and in medium-toasting barriques.
